Laikyn graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky in 2019. She then graduated from the Masters of Physician Assistant program at Sullivan University in 2022. Laikyn is Board-Certified by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. She is a member of the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants.

Laikyn lives in Shelbyville, KY with her husband and daughter.
