Robert B. Hendren, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Hendren is a native of Boston, Massachusetts, and has practiced urology in Louisville since 1999. He graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, with a B.A. in biology and Russian studies before attending Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his chief residency in general surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then returned to Boston for residency in urology at the Massachusetts General Hospital where he was clinical instructor in surgery, Harvard Medical School. He has served as president of the Kentucky Urological Association and as chief of surgery for Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
Dr. Hendren maintains certification by the American Board of Urology. His interests in urology broadly include oncology, open and laparoscopic surgery, robotics, treatment of kidney stones, bladder disorders including sacral neuromodulation, office procedures for BPH and vasectomy as well as most aspects of general urology.
In his spare time Dr. Hendren enjoys staying fit, spending time with his wife and keeping up with their three grown children.
