Carla is a native of Indiana who got her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Spencerian College in 1994. In 2000, Carla completed an operating room surgical technician/nurse program at Clark Memorial Hospital. Then in 2004, she pursued her First Assistant for Surgical Technologists through National Institute First Assisting and earned her certification through American Board of Surgical Assistants. Carla has been with First Urology assisting surgeons in the operating room since 2021.

Carla resides in southern Indiana with her husband, three children, and one grandchild. She loves sports and being with family and friends.
