Dr. Blackford is originally from Lexington, KY. He earned his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1993. He went on to receive his medical degree in 1997 from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his residency in urology at University of Kansas Medical Center, located in Kansas City, Kansas.

Dr. Blackford is certified by the American Board of Urology and has been practicing since 2002. In his spare time, Dr. Blackford enjoys spending time with family and exercising.
